Four Lady Huskies receive postseason honors

Ashe County placed two players on the all-conference team and two more on the all-conference honorable mention list.

Sophomores Morgan Hudler and Paige Spell were named to the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference All-Conference team while junior Emily Flanagan and senior Chelsea Reavis were chosen as honorable mention players.

Each of the four players started nearly every game this season, and played a key role in helping Ashe grab fourth place in the MVAC.

After leading North Wilkes to the conference championship, Jackie Denny was named MVAC Player of the Year while her coach Wendy Shumate received MVAC Coach of the Year honors.
