The non-conference slate of games has not been very friendly to the volleyball team with three losses to start the season.
Ashe traveled to Watauga and lost three games to zero. Watauga won the first two games by 25-14 and 25-12 scores before Ashe tightened things up in the third game. The Pioneers still escaped with a 25-18 win.
Up next, the Lady Huskies hosted Avery County where the result was the same. The Vikings swept the contest, winning each of the first three games.
On Monday, Watauga finished the season sweep of Ashe with a 3-0 win. Game scores were 25-15, 25-16 and 25-10.
Next week, Ashe will play a pair of home matches. Elkin comes to town on Tuesday and Starmount will make the trip up the mountain on Thursday.
