Ashe stayed unbeaten in conference play with a dominating 32-0 win over visiting North Wilkes in the final home game of the season.
Skye Sullivan put Ashe on the board on the first possession of the game with a 20-yard TD run.
On the very next Husky possession, QB Colin Ellis made a perfect pitch on an option play to Sullivan for a 25-yard TD run. Ashe was ahead 12-0 with 1:38 left in the first quarter.
North’s next drive was cut very short after the Ashe defense forced a turnover. Ben Brown and Josh Hamilton hit the ball carrier and forced the fumble.
Two plays later, Sullivan scored his third touchdown of the quarter with a 30-yard gallop. The Huskies were ahead 18-0.
Neither team put up any points in the second quarter.
In the third, Sullivan got his fourth and final TD of the night on a 17-yard run. Ashe converted a two-point conversion to go up 26-0 with 5:04 left in the quarter.
Hunter Argetsinger started the fourth quarter with a bang. He sprinted 47 yards for the TD, aided by a tremendous block from wide receiver Garrett Miller.
Ashe held the Vikings out of the end zone for the final seven minutes to preserve the shutout and the victory.
The junior varsity squad ends the season this Thursday at Elkin.
