Lady Huskies have six on all-conference team

The conference champion Ashe County Lady Huskies led the way with six Mountain Valley All-Conference selections and added two honorable mention choices as well.

Chrissy Simmons, Candi Sanchez, Laura Rodriguez, Taylor May, Olivia Brettschneider and Bekah Bowers were chosen to the all-conference team while Natalie Harless and Tyler Eller earned honorable mention recognition.

West Wilkes player Cassie Burdiss was named MVAC Player of the Year and her head coach Carsten Lyck was tabbed MVAC Coach of the Year.
