Baseball coach Ronnie Pruitt would like to invite all young baseball players in the county to come out to the Diamond Stars Baseball Camp at Ashe County High School.

All third through nine graders are eligible to attend. The cost of the camp is $50.

The camp will take place July 15-17 each morning from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Campers will learn basic fundamentals in all aspects of baseball, including fielding, hitting, base running and pitching.

There will also be live game simulations played pitting one team against another during camp.

Participants must bring their own equipment such as a bat, glove, cleats, pants, sliding shorts and tennis shoes. Concessions will be sold each day at camp during breaks so campers may want to bring extra money for that.

Pruitt has been the head baseball coach at ACHS for the last 11 seasons.

If you have any questions about the camp, call Coach Pruitt at (336) 977-9714.
