Arts Council holds ARTifacts Yard Sale fundraiser

A temporary, deluxe thrift store popped up for a few hours in West Jefferson this past Saturday.The Ashe County Arts Council held its 20th annual ARTifacts Yard Sale Saturday, April 19 at the Early Learning Center in West Jefferson.Jane Lonon, executive director of the arts council, said the arts council was fortunate to have so many high-quality items donated for this year’s yard sale.“We were fortunate to have a lot of really nice items this year because a lot of people are downsizing or moving,” Lonon said.

 

Economic impact of tourism here doubles over 15 years
