JEFFERSON – Several cases pertaining to alleged crimes of sexual nature top the upcoming session of Ashe County Superior Court.

The latest session of the court begins March 27 with a docket at the Ashe County Courthouse.

Aaron Banks Dixon, 32, is charged with first degree sexual offense and first degree rape of a child. His charges originated in March 2013 when he was arrested and put under a $100,000 secured bond.

In an unrelated case, Dean Eldreth, Jr., is scheduled to appear in court on a charge of felony second degree rape. Eldreth, 52, of Jefferson, was arrested in April 2015 and put under a $35,000 secure bond.

An evidentiary hearing is scheduled in the case of James Allen Jordan. He is scheduled to appear in court for a charge of rape of child by adult.

In another unrelated case, Tisha McPeak, 22, is due back in court to face a charge of statutory rape of a child by an adult.

Allen William Shepherd is due back on court for felony second degree forced sexual offense, assault on a female, communicating threats and felony assault by strangulation.

According to former Sheriff James Williams, the sexual offense and strangulation charges stems from an incident that occurred on Sept. 25, 2016 while the kidnapping allegedly occurred Sept. 29. Williams said the victim was treated and released from Watauga Medical Center.

“The victim reported the incidents to us after they had occurred,” Williams said at the time. “She’d been choked and beaten and reportedly tied up and held in the trunk of a car, along with sexually assaulted.”
