Warrants: Warrensville man head-butts, strangles disabled woman

ASHE COUNTY-A Warrensville man is out on bond today after allegedly strangling and inflicting serious bodily injury to a handicapped person.

Joe Isaac Brooks, 33, of 610 Sawyer Road, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

According to arrest warrants, Brooks allegedly struck a Lansing woman multiple times and left bruises on her body before head butting her. He also held the woman down by the throat, pushing her to the floor while restricting her airflow, said the arrest warrants.

The warrants did not specify Brooks’ relationship to the woman. The Jefferson Post does not publish the names of victims.
