LANSING-A log hauler crash shut down traffic on Deep Ford Road for more than an hour Wednesday.
The single vehicle crash occurred near 1380 Deep Ford Road in Lansing shortly after 1 p.m. when a trailer filled with logs overturned. According to scanner traffic the hauler’s driver was trapped but was later extracted by rescue crews.
In addition to the Ashe County Rescue Squad, the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office, Ashe Medics, North Carolina Highway Patrol and Lansing Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the scene.
