There’s still time to submit photos and vote

If you have a hunting picture that you are proud of, there is still time to show it off and possibly begin the new year $100 richer.
Submissions can be still made to the Jefferson Post’s “Bux 4 Bucks” contest until midnight, Saturday, Dec. 29, for a chance to take home $100 as the overall vote winner from main sponsor Grashal Outdoors in Boone. Competitors can also win up to $40 as the top vote earner in one of four categories: Best Trophy Buck, Best Doe, Best Game Bird and Best Bear.
Category sponsors are: the Ashe County Republican Party, Day’s Body Shop of Jefferson, Walmart, and Western Carolina Eye Associates, P.A., of Jefferson.
“We’re so excited to be a part of this,” Dana Roten, owner of Grashal Outdoors said, “We encourage everyone with a hunting picture they love to participate.”
As a reminder, your trophy buck, doe, game bird or bear could have been harvested using any method – rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader or bow.
Entry into the contest is free, and only a valid email address is required.
The winning photographs will appear in an online photo gallery and a future print issue of the Jefferson Post.
The online submissions and voting process will continue through Dec. 29.
To submit your photo, visit www.jeffersonpost.com, and click on the Bux 4 Bucks logo.
Select the local features section and then select contest tabs. Follow the steps online to upload the photo and enter.
