The following are collision reports posted by the N.C. Highway Patrol in Ashe County the week of June 9.

Blue Ridge Elementary
A two-car collision occurred at the parking lot of Blue Ridge Elementary School at 10:10 a.m. on June 10.
According to the narrative, David Dowell, of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, was traveling south in the school’s parking lot when he struck a vehicle driven by Cassandra Adams of Todd, who was stopped prepared to turn on to N.C. 88.
There were no injuries and both cars were rendered drivable. Dowell’s 1994 Toyota had $100 in damages while Adams’ 2008 Kia had $500 in damages.
Dowell was cited for failure to reduce speed.
A two-car collision occurred on U.S. 221 near the intersection of Conley Cheek Road at 3:21 p.m. on June 10.
According to the narrative, Briana Anderson, of Fleetwood and Tyia Dawson, of West Jefferson were traveling north on U.S. 221, when Dawson pulled over for an oncoming ambulance. Anderson failed to slow down and struck Dawson’s vehicle.
There were no injuries and both vehicles had an estimated damage of $500.
Anderson was cited for failure to reduce speed.
A two-car collision occurred on U.S. 221 Business at the intersection of Blackburn Street at 7:54 a.m. on June 11.
According to the narrative, Hugo Escobedo, of Jefferson and Estaban Otzoy, of Laurel Springs were traveling south on U.S. 221 Business when Otzoy was changing lanes and failed to yield to Escobedo.
Blue Ridge Medical Transport was dispatched, but nobody was transported. Otzoy’s vehicle had no damage, while Escobado’s 1999 Toyota had an estimate $1,500 in damages.
Otzoy was cited for a failure to yield.
A two-car wreck occurred on U.S. 221 near Jefferson at the Corner Market at 11:25 a.m. on June 14.
According to the narrative, Laura Bare of Jefferson and Harry Crouch of Chapel Hill were traveling west on U.S. 221. Crouch was stopped for traffic ahead attempting to turn when Bare struck his vehicle.
There were no injuries and both vehicles were considered drivable. Bare’s 2004 Ford had $3,000 in estimated damages while Crouch’s 2003 Honda had $1,500 in damages.
Bare was cited for a failure to reduce speed.
An animal collision occurred on N.C. 16, near the Virginia state line at 6:48 p.m. on June 14.
According to the narrative, Linda Gambill of Grassy Creek was traveling north on N.C. 16 when she struck a deer crossing the highway.
There were no injuries, but Gambill’s vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet, was rendered not drivable.
