After starting the year off with just one win in five games, the women’s soccer team has reeled off three straight conference wins, including Tuesday night’s 2-0 win at East Wilkes.

Taylor May netted Ashe’s first goal in the 20th minute and Bekah Bowers added the second tally in the 60th minute.

The Ashe defense continues its stellar play on the pitch. This was the third shutout of the season, and the team has allowed only three teams to score more than one goal in a match.

The Lady Huskies have now evened its record up at 4-4-1 overall and are 3-1 in the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference.

Following a non-conference game against Avery County scheduled for Thursday, Ashe will play three straight conference games at home. The ladies will host North Wilkes on Friday, West Wilkes next Tuesday and Alleghany next Friday.
