Ashe County Head Coach Scott Grubb as well as his varsity players dedicated three days worth of time and hard work on the basketball court for the annual camp at the high school.

Boys from third grade through tenth grade took part in the camp with the younger kids playing in the morning and the older kids playing in the afternoon.

A total of 69 young athletes took part in the camp.

Campers challenged each other in several different competitions including free throw shooting, hot shot, one-on-one tournament play and a dribbling obstacle course dubbed the Iditarod.

Players worked on lots of individual skills and played in team games to close out camp.

On the final day of camp, awards were handed out to some of the top performers during each session, including a Most Outstanding Camper award. Camden Current won that award in the morning session while Colin Ellis took home that award in the afternoon group.
