Top seeded Hallie Brown gutted out a 6-3, 6-0 win over Sarah Bumgarner in spite of not feeling well according to head coach Larry Dix.

In the fourth seeded matchup, Rae Zeller took a 6-0, 6-0 win over Katilyn Billings.
Keely Caddell captured a 6-1, 6-0 win over Rebekah Daye and Caroline Current rounded out the singles matches with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Sierra Clonch.

In the second doubles match, Zeller and Caddell were 8-3 winners over Phillips and Billings.
Ashe capped off the sweep with an 8-0 win for Current and Morgan Church over Clonch and Briana Demario.
“I thought our players played well and hit more consistently,” said Coach Dix.
Dix said that these matches “provided good opportunities for the players to work on court position, ground strokes, approach shots and ground strokes.”
The Lady Huskies will host West Wilkes on Tuesday and Alleghany on Wednesday.
Ashe is currently 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference. The lone loss came to Watauga on Tuesday. The team also has to resume its match against East Wilkes that was suspended due to rain.
