Art in the Park will continue to bring artistic enrichment to Blowing Rock and surrounding communities in addition to the thousands of visitors who flock into Blowing Rock to view and purchase one-of-a-kind works and support the local economy this summer.

Located in downtown Blowing Rock, this prestigious event is a six month series of juried outdoor fine art and craft shows for which hundreds of artists apply each year. This year, Art in the Park celebrates its 52st anniversary and 35,000 attendees are expected throughout the season.

Saturday dates for the remainder of this year are May 17, June 14, July 19, Aug. 16, Sept. 6 and Oct. 4.

Events are held on the top level of the American Legion parking facility on Wallingford Street. Prices for objects, from a handmade postcard to a large piece of furniture, range from $5 to $5,000.

Art in the Park is planned and administered by the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce.

Free shuttles to the site are available from the Tanger Shoppes on the Parkway and the Food Lion grocery store on U.S. 321.
