There will be a reunion of descendants of Joseph (d.1803) and Nancy "Ann" Shepherd (1769-1844) of Petersburg, VA at Ashe County Park in Jefferson, NC on July 13, 2013 at the Lakeview shelter beginning at 11AM. Joseph and Ann's grandson William Haines Badger moved to Ashe County and married Alpha Duvall and raised his family there. There will be a potluck lunch (share your favorites). There is a grill available. The park is very nice with a restroom, playground, lake and Frisbee field available. Please come and share pictures and family stories and learn more about your ancestors. Many of the Badgers have been wood workers. If you have something made by a Badger ancestor, please send a picture and information on it to be included in a pamphlet about our creative ancestors.
