Beulah Marie Worley Sturgill

Mrs. Beulah Marie Worley Sturgill of Todd passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Margate Health and Rehab. She was 94.

Mrs. Sturgill was born in Ashe County on Aug. 3, 1917 to the late Ferdanio Curtis Sturgill and Saferna Grogan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Denver Lee Sturgill, and a grandson, Eric Sturgill.

Mrs. Sturgill is survived by one son, Gary Sturgill of Boone; one daughter, Carol Cornette of High Point; three grandchildren, Greg Cornette and wife, Karen, of Todd, Bonita Page of High Point, and Debra Ivery and husband, Jeff, of High Point; five great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at Beaver Creek Christian Church Cemetery with Dr. Jim Dawes and Rev. JD Walton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaver Creek Christian Church, 141 Ray Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
