The man accused by Ashe authorities last week of being a fugitive will be heading back to Pennsylvania.

Sheriff James Williams said that David Price went before an Ashe County judge last week and signed a waiver, allowing him to be extradited to Pennsylvania.

Deputies, Jefferson and West Jefferson police plus Highway Patrol officers chased Price through the Friendship Community for more than two hours Wednesday, the sheriff said. A deputy had approached Price on a moped after Pennsylvania authorities asked that he be sought at his girlfriend’s house.

Williams said that Pennsylvania officers listed Price as being on parole for break ins in that state. They also wanted to talk to him about a homicide there.

Williams expects that Pennsylvania authorities will arrange for his pick up within few days.
