Ashe County Parks and Recreation youth volleyball is beginning soon. The league is open to all girls in grades four through six.

Dates to remember:

Sept. 18: Coaches meeting at Family central for anyone interested in coaching youth volleyball this season. The meeting will be at 7 p.m.

Sept. 25: Final deadline for volleyball registration followed by a player draft to fill each team. The draft for Mountain View and Blue Ridge Elementary teams will be at 6 p.m. The draft for Westwood Elementary teams will be at 7:30 p.m., all at Family Central.

ACPR is also going to start offering “Open Field Flag Football” at Ashe Park on the A and B Field starting Tuesday Sept. 25 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. This will be taking place every Tuesday and Thursday through October. More info is on the ACPR website, ashecountyparks.com.
