Ruth Roland Tribble

Mrs. Ruth Roland Tribble of Millers Creek, formerly of Ashe County, passed away Monday evening, July 30, 2012 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. She was 87.

Mrs. Tribble was born in Ashe County Friday on April 17, 1925 to Walter Alexander Roland and Bertie Albina Miller Roland.

Mrs. Tribble is survived by two sons, Michael Tribble and wife, Magdalene, of Millers Creek, Ron Tribble and wife, Lois, of Draper, Va.; one daughter, Pat Fowler and husband, Bill, of Millers Creek; one brother, Frank Roland of Warrensville; seven grandchildren, Brennis Tribble and wife, Natalie, of Wilkesboro, Keith Tribble and wife, Lauren, of Fincastle,Va., Julie Shinn and husband, Jason, of Lansing, Kansas, Jonathon Tribble and wife, Alison, of Millers Creek, Justin Fowler of Mooresville, Lynn Jennings and husband, Stephen, of Amarillo, Texas, Tom Fowler of Richmond, Va.; seven great-grandchildren, Duncan Shinn of Lansing, Kansas, Griffin Shinn of Lansing, Kansas, Jaxson Tribble of Wilkesboro, Jeremy Tribble of Fincastle, Va., Sara Grady and husband, Donny, of Canyon, Texas, Michael Jennings and wife, Donna, of Amarillo, Texas, Jason Jennings of Hereford, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at Boone Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Shannon Critcher and the Rev. Ken Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Thursday at Boone Family Funeral Home.
