Scott Alen Osborne

Scott Alen Osborne of Whitetop, Va., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2012 at his home. He was 36.

He was born Aug. 29, 1975 in Jefferson to Reid and Donna Surber Osborne.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Donna and Kerry Ruff of Whitetop, Va.; father and stepmother, Reid and Faye Osborne of Lansing; sister and spouse, Jonna and C. J. McGlothlin of Abingdon, Va.; brother, Randy Osborne of Lansing; maternal grandparents, Don and Hazel Surber of Whitetop, Va.; paternal grandmother, Haskell Osborne of Lansing; one nephew, Allyn Osborne of Lansing; several other nieces and nephews; two stepbrothers and spouses, Jerry Jr. and Beth Young of Mouth of Wilson, Va., and Louis and Sharon Young of Piney Creek; two stepsisters and spouse, Lauren and Brandon Moody of Jefferson, and Ashley Ruff and fiance, Brandon, of Lansing; two step-nephews; one step-niece; several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the Faith Lutheran Church, Whitetop, Va., with Pastor Candis Omeara, Elder Kenneth Clark and the Rev. Tim Barr officiating. Burial followed in Haw Orchard Cemetery near Rugby, Va. The family received friends at the church 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mt. Rogers Rescue Squad and Mt. Rogers Fire Department , P. O. Box 4, Whitetop, Va. 24292.
