Mrs. Shirley Jacqueline “Jackie” Sheets Faw of Hill Avenue, Wilkesboro, widow of Frank D. Faw, Sr., died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was 76.

Mrs. Faw was born in Ashe County, on July 21, 1935, to Fields and Ollie Bare Sheets. She was a member of Obids Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Faw was preceded in death by one daughter, Gloria Parrish, and three sisters, Pauline Dixon, Euna Mae Hardin and Yevone Spainhour.

Mrs. Faw is survived by one son, Frank D. Faw, Jr. and wife, Sandi, of Wilkesboro, and three grandchildren, Trey Faw, Phillip Parrish, Jr. and Celeste Parrish.

A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with the Rev. Tom Graybeal officiating. The family received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
