Mrs. Belva Nora Sheets of West Jefferson died on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Margate Health & Rehab Center. She was 96.
Mrs. Sheets was born on June 29, 1916, in Ashe County to Wylie and Lillian Phillips Miller.
Mrs. Sheets was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Arthur Sheets.
Mrs. Sheets is survived by a daughter, Louise Vannoy of West Jefferson; a son, Neal Miller of Sanford; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Brother Ralph Smith. Burial followed in Ebenezer Cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service.
