A woman who fell from a moving vehicle on Mill Creek Road in the Todd/Fleetwood area last night between 7:00 and 7:15 p.m. died of her injuries, according to Ashe County Sheriff James Williams.
Becky Howell, 27, had apparently jumped from the vehicle, Williams said.
State Highway Patrol had conducted an initial investigation, and determined that it was not an accident, he said.
The investigation has been passed to the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office, but Williams said it was too early to comment on any findings at this time.
