Four men’s tennis players were chosen to the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference All-Conference team.
To get a spot on the all-conference team, each player had to make it to the semifinals of the conference tournament, held in Elkin at the end of April. The MVAC Tournament is divided into a 1A and 2A side since the conference is split.
Ashe had two singles players and one doubles team qualify. Sam Bowers and Lucas Zeller reached the semis in the singles tournament and the team of Een Shepherd and Jacob O’Neal were the doubles team representative.
Elkin’s Tyler Macy was named MVAC Player of the Year and his head coach Tony Duncan was named MVAC Coach of the Year.
