Following their strong performances at the 2A Midwest Regional this past weekend, four Ashe County wrestlers will be competing in Greensboro for a shot at a state championship.

Michael Elliott won the regional championship at 145 pounds, Lucas Miller earned the regional top spot at 170 pounds and William Miller was regional champion at 195 pounds. Justin Scarborough also qualified for the state tournament with a third place finish in the 182-pound division.

The 2A State Championship Tournament will take place this Friday and Saturday at the Greensboro Coliseum.
