Cyclist Eric Johnson, an Ashe County High School alumnus who hails from Lansing, crossed the Ohio River Wednesday on his 3,500 mile cross-country trek from Wilmington to San Francisco, and spent the night in Elizabethtown, Ill.. A woman who fell from a moving vehicle on Mill Creek Road in the Todd/Fleetwood area last night between 7:00 and 7:15 p.m. died of her injuries, according to Ashe County Sheriff James Williams.
