Elkin holds off Ashe, 4-2
Elkin did most of its damage on just one swing of the bat in the fifth inning, and were able to hang on for a 4-2 conference victory over the Huskies.
The Elks grabbed a 1-0 lead in the third inning when a double from Jamey Cranford scored Seth Haynes.
The big momentum swing of the game came in the fifth inning. Frank Miller crushed a three-run homer to left that scored Haynes and Cranford to jump ahead 4-0 late in the contest.
