For the Huskies, it has been nothing but check marks in the win column over the past month. Ashe has not lost since Aug. 25, a game they played without its top two leading scorers.On Monday, Ashe wrapped up the first half of Mountain Valley Conference games with a 7-0 victory at West Wilkes. This was the third consecutive shutout for the Huskies and the 10th win in a row.Gavin Woodie opened the scoring in the very first minute, but then the Blackhawk defense stood strong until late in the half when Victor Melo netted a goal in the 39th minute.Ashe would be forced to play the entire second half one player short after Eric Barcenas was red carded late in the first half.
