The following are collision reports posted by the N.C. Highway Patrol in Ashe County and are considered public record.Aug. 4JeffersonA single-vehicle accident occurred at 10:41 p.m. on Highway 221. According to the narrative, Jeremy Eggert of Lansing was traveling south when his vehicle ran off the road to the right, came back on the road, crossed the centerline and overturned.Eggert’s 2006 GMC had an estimated $3,000 in damage and was rendered not driveable. Eggert was transferred to Ashe Memorial Hospital. He was also cited for driving while intoxicated, driving without a license and careless and reckless driving.West Jefferson
