WARRENSVILLE — It’s that time again for the annual donkey basketball fundraiser at Ashe County Middle School.

This is the largest fundraiser for the Bulldog athletic program and always brings in a big crowd to see a different brand of basketball.

Donkeys and their riders will hit the court this Thursday, March 16 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Advanced tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the middle school, Farm Bureau, Westwood, Mountain View and Blue Ridge Elementary. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $8, cash only. Children five and under will get in free.

For those kids that would like to take a ride on a donkey, rides are free for all kids ages 12 and under.

All proceeds from the event go to to the Ashe County Middle School athletic department.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please call the middle school at 336-384-3591.

Nathan Ham can be reached at 336-489-3062.
