Lady Huskies have six all-conference players

WEST JEFFERSON — Ashe County saw all six of its top seeds make it on the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference 1A/2A All-Conference team.

Seniors Caroline Current, Morgan Church, Anna Corley and Mackenzie Wood along with sophomore Karoline Keith and freshman Ashley Dollar all received all-conference recognition for their terrific play this season.

Current was also named MVAC Player of the Year, helping lead the Lady Huskies to 16 wins and the MVAC Championship.

Ashe County head coach Larry Dix was honored for his work with the team this year, taking home MVAC Coach of the Year honors.
