Reeves would not provide details on the situation, but did say the school system takes bullying very seriously and makes every effort to ensure students and the schools are safe.
Reeves also said he applauds the school’s counseling department for handling this and other incidents.
Correction
In regard to a story published Oct. 29 about a bullying incident, Reeves said his comment on human nature of “kids will be kids and adults will be adults” referred to people engaging in rumor and speculation, not the issue of bullying behavior.
