Registration for the 2011 Men’s Industrial Basketball League is now underway as teams can now begin signing up for league play, which will begin at the end of January.

The registration fee for the 2011 league will be $450 per team. Forms and fees need to be returned to Ashe County Parks and Recreation by Jan. 21

Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 14 games during the season, and must be prepared to play any day of the week, Monday through Friday. Games are held between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. and will be played at Family Central.

All team members must be at least 16 years old and each team will be required to have matching t-shirts or jerseys with a number on the back. It is advised that teams may want to talk to a local sports store before the deadline to get the shirts or jerseys ordered.

The registration fee must also be paid in full before the first game, or a $25 late fee will be assessed.

After registration has been completed, a Captain’s meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m. at Family Central. All team captains will be required to attend.
