As you make your lists this Christmas season, take time to think of someone who may need your help to have a bright holiday season. Project Star in Ashe County provides gifts to senior citizens through the efforts of Appalachian Senior Programs and its supporters. You will find paper stars on trees around the county, like this one at Food Lion in Jefferson, with names of seniors and appropriate gifts listed. Items should be gift bagged and delivered next week to Appalachian Senior Programs, 414 East Main Street, Jefferson, in the Olde Towne Shopping Center. Donations will also be accepted.
