Mr. Clive Woodie, age 86, of Fleetwood, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2008 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Gap Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Crawford and Rev. Evan Moore officiating. Entombment followed in the Mount Lawn Memorial Mausoleum.
The family received friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Monday, one hour prior to the funeral service.
Mr. Woodie was born in Ashe County on Saturday, November 19, 1921 to the late Mack McKinley Woodie and the late Minnie Phillips Woodie. He was a self-employed retail merchant.
He is survived by a daughter, Travis Hamby and husband, Carroll, of Fleetwood; two grandchildren, Vickie Moore and Tim Hamby, both of Fleetwood; three great-grandchildren, Evan Moore, Amanda Hamby and Alisha Hamby also survive.
