Courtney is the daughter of Trudy and Tarry Crockett of Fletcher, NC and Tim Davis of Port Charlotte, FL. Her paternal grandparents are Dottie and Floyd Davis. Her maternal grandparents are . She is a senior at Campbell University majoring in Biology.
Walter is the son of Dennis and Debbie Pennington of Nathan’s Creek, NC. His paternal grandparents are Albertine Pennington and the late Marvin Pennington. His maternal grandparents are Bonnie Neaves and the late Richard Neaves. He is also a senior at Campbell University and a part time employee of Lowe’s Hardware. He is completing his degree in Business Administration.
The bride was wearing a formal strapless satin dress with ornate embroidery adorned with crystals and pearls and a matching fingertip veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of lilies accented with teal and a hint of purple flowers and ivy. Courtney entered the lakeside setting riding in a beautiful white horse drawn carriage and was greeted by her father and stepfather who escorted her down the aisle to the lakeside.
Brittany Davis, sister of the bride served as maid of honor. The bride’s attendants were Cheryl Lowry, Meera Al-henaey and Jessica Moore, all friends of the bride. They wore teal and black silk dresses and carried nosegay bouquets enhanced with peacock feathers.
Dennis Pennington, father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Nick Miller and Jason Joyce, friends of the groom and Nathaniel Davis, brother of the bride.
The bride’s cousin, Mallori Johnson was Flower Girl and the groom’s cousin Pierce Cox was Ring Bearer. Olivia Cox, cousin of the groom served at the guest register. Franklin, Eli and Luke Joyce gave each guest a bottle of bubbles to be blown as the bride and groom left in the horse drawn carriage.
Jim Maloney provided the music for the wedding and emceed the reception. Tim and Rebecca Davis provided the vocal selections for the wedding.
Felicia Joyce directed the wedding and flowers were designed and arranged by Brenda Walters.
Following the ceremony, a reception dinner was served on the terrace of Rumbling Bald Resort.
The couple currently resides in Erwin, NC.
