Appalled, to be horrified, shocked, dismayed: which is what Judith Mullen experienced learning of senator McCain’s non vote on a clean energy bill.
The United States has become a leader in technologies designed to reduce environmental damage and has done so at considerable expense to the US consumer. Still, the “world” community ,envious of our productivity and resourcefulness, berates us for not signing on to the Kyoto treaty which would cost us dearly while permitting major polluters like Communist China and India to continue their environmental destruction. McCain, being far too cozy with the likes of “progressives” is not my choice for the presidency but considering the extreme left, progressive platforms of Obama and Clinton, he becomes acceptable. For those of you who worship the environment above all else, look beyond our borders at the communist, oops!,”socialist” countries and the terrible past and continuing damage they inflict on the environment. You may then have just cause to be appalled. If the new age secular progressives take complete control of our government the”workers” will eat the smoke of industry necessary to keep the powerful elite living in secluded environmentally pristine enclaves.(And they won’t all be rich Republicans!) This won’t happen over night, but history, being hard to argue with except by fools, will bear this out.
That would be ,horrifying, shocking and dismaying
