Is there an organized campaign that I am not aware of to reduce the natural beauty of Ashe County...? Garbage and trash along the roadways rivals that I saw years ago on a trip driving thru the countryside of Mexico. Advertising, both on official signs and adhoc (SIMS) has become the worst I have seen anywhere in the world... and is getting worse.
I have participated in the annual New River Clean Sweeps and suggest we may now need one for the roadsides. I consider myself a visitor to this wonderful county and am suprised that this dosen’t bother the residents.
I recommend Ashe County contact SIMS and ask them to pick up their litter along Hwy 221.
