On May 6, at about 4:55 p.m. the Grayson National Bank in Whitetop, Virginia was robbed. The suspect has been linked to the robbery that occurred in Bowden, Georgia on April 17, 2008.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 60s, gray beard, wearing a brown windbreaker, blue and white plaid button up shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, blue jeans, a black Jacksonville Jaguars cap, and dark sunglasses. The suspect wears a gold watch on either wrist.

The suspect entered the Grayson National Bank in Whitetop and requested information on sending a money order to San Salvador. He then displayed a pistol in his waistband and informed the tellers that they were being robbed. The suspect led the tellers to the drive-thru service area where he used black zip-ties to bind their wrists and ankles and stuffed white dish rags in their mouths.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a silver or gray Toyota 4-Runner with tinted windows and a black brush guard. There was, what appeared to be, a red license plate on the front of the vehicle. The vehicle may be driven by a white female with long red hair. A direction of travel is not known at this time. If located, detain and contact the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office at 276-773-3241. There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
