Ashe County Parks and Recreation hosted and coordinated in cooperation with Challenger Sports the British Soccer Camps last week at Family Central. Challenger Sports sponsored three instructors from England to come and direct the camp. Support from local families allowed the instructors to stay in a home here in Ashe during the week. 42 players attended the camp, which was geared towards teaching the fundamentals of the sport of soccer. Plans are underway for a repeat of the camp next year.
