Brenda Sue Stanley Johnston, age 55, wife of David Aaron Johnston, of Johnson Road, North Wilkesboro, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at her home.

Mrs. Johnston was born February 1, 1953 in McDowell County, West Virginia to James Condy and Rosie Bell Justice Stanley. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Janice Collins Duty; and Uncle Willard Stanley.

Surviving are her husband, of the home; one son, William Keith Hamilton, and wife, Jessica, of the home; one stepson, Timothy Dale Hamilton, and wife, Christy, of Millers Creek; one stepdaughter, Kimberly Craver, and husband, Wally, of Clemmons; and six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, August 17, at 2 p.m. at the Johnston home, 191 Johnson Road, North Wilkesboro with the Rev. Don Hudson officiating. The family has requested no flowers.
