James Sanford McNeill, 71, of Monroe, NC, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008.
Born February 13, 1937, in Ashe County, North Carolina, Mr. McNeill was the son of the late Georganne Hoosier and James Garfield McNeill. Mr. McNeill was a self-employed auto body repair technician.
Funeral services to celebrate Mr. McNeill’s life were held on Friday, August 15, at 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, with visitation from 6-8 p.m. prior to the service.
In addition to being survived by his wife, Mary Davis McNeill, James is survived by his three sons, Ronald James McNeill, Terry Sanford McNeill and Christopher Davis McNeill; siblings, Lenoir McNeill Elliot, Garvin Addison McNeill, James Robert McNeill, Larry Bernard McNeill and Sharon Anne Hennis; and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. McNeill’s honor to Hospice of Union County, 700 Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
The McNeill family is in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel.
