Milcen Ollie Worley Miller, age 88, wife of Lenard Miller, of Congo Road, Wilkesboro, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Villages of Wilkes Skilled Care.

Mrs. Miller was born December 12, 1919 in Ashe County to Peter McClay and Laura Houck Worley. She was a long time member of Goshen Baptist Church. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Gurney Len Miller, who was killed in Vietnam in 1968.

Surviving are her husband of the home; two sons, Gordon Craig Miller and wife, JoAnn, Ronald Miller and wife, Cindi, all of Wilkesboro; four daughters, Arlena Linda Jones of Millers Creek, Glenna Dale Miller of Kernersville, Sandra Elizabeth Howell of Boomer, Maureen Byers and husband, Johnny, of Millers Creek; one sister, Lola Woodie of Wilkesboro; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, at Goshen Baptist Church with the Rev. Hubert Bullis and the Rev. Dean Rector officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday night. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Wilkes Senior Village, PO Box 1247, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
