Mrs. Clyde Elliott Johnson, age 91, of Lansing, died Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Segraves Care Center in Jefferson.

Mrs. Johnson was born on Oct. 6, 1919 in Ashe County to the late James and Ada Elliott. She was a faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Lansing.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 22, at 5 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Fred Richardson, Minister Danny Miller, the Rev. Joey McClure and the Rev. Tommy Dollar. Burial followed in the Barr Cemetery. The family received friends following the service.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Howard Johnson; sister in-law, Beulah Johnson of Lansing; special friends, Joe and Brenda Stansberry, Kevin and Julie Jones and their children, Ada, Abby & Emmie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
