Joseph H. Lenney, 86, of Daytona Beach, Fla., passed away Oct. 27, 2011 at home after a long illness.

He was born in Tauton, Mass., on June 1, 1925 to Ludget and Evonne Lenney. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Paul of Largo, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Rae; two sons, Stephen and wife, Nancy, of Ravenna, Mich., and Christopher of Arlington, Mass.; four step-children, Darrell Lambert of Statesville, Lisa Phillips of Daytona Beach, Fla., George Phillips of Ironwood, Mich., and Mitchell Phillips of the home; and a sister-in-law, Rita Lenney of Bowie, Md.

Mr. Lenney was a civil engineer and taught engineering at Northeastern University in Boston for 25 years. He was a World War II veteran. Memorials in his honor may be made to the donor’s choice.
