Wineberg was a terror defensively in each game this season as he was always in the backfield pressuring the quarterback or bringing down ball carriers for losses. Along with the MVAC Defensive Player of the Year recognition, Wineberg also received All-Conference honors, along with five other Husky teammates.
Senior quarterback Sam Gammons, wide receiver Matthew Sexton, linebacker Tyler Stuart, and lineman Wesley Moore, along with junior punter Anthony Federico were all chosen to the MVAC All-Conference team. Sexton made the team both offensively at wide receiver and defensively as a cornerback. Wineberg made the list on both sides of the ball as well. Stuart and Moore were defensive standouts for much of the season, and were key players in helping the Huskies keep opponents off the scoreboard.
The Huskies had five players make it on the MVAC Honorable Mention team. Offensively, senior tailback Kole Goss and junior lineman Carson Knight were chosen, while senior kicker Andrew Lopp also received recognition. On defense, junior lineman Dominic Maxwell and senior linebacker Nate Price were chosen for the squad.
Wilkes Central running back Dustin Triplett was crowned as MVAC Offensive Player of the Year while Starmount head coach Scott Johnson was tabbed at MVAC Coach of the Year.
