NCNR celebrates new headquarters

Ashe County Chamber of Commerce welcomed the National Committee for the New River to their new headquarters in downtown West Jefferson Friday afternoon with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Participating were: Bob Washburn, Chamber of Commerce board member; Ben Lucas, land protection coordinator; Henry Doss, NCNR board president; Anna Ziegler, NCNR board member; George Santucci, executive director; Brad Baskette, assistant land protection coordinator; Lynn Caldwell, restoration director; Christie Wagoner, bookkeeper; Laura Greene, administrative assistant; and Ken Gottfried, Chamber of Commerce board member.
NCNR recently completed a move from Family Central in Jefferson to 1 North Ave. Suite D, just around the corner from the Chamber of Commerce in West Jefferson. Look for their awning and logo next door to W.J. Hardware.
