Mrs. Clyde Stike Elliott of Warrensville died Friday, March 2, 2012, at her daughter’s home. She was 84.

Mrs. Elliott was born on Sept. 14, 1927, in Ashe County, to Elzie Worth and Bessie Eldreth Stike.

Mrs. Elliott was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She loved gardening, cooking and sewing.

Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Junior Carl Elliott, three brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Elliott is survived by one son, Rick Elliott and wife Sandy of Warrensville; one daughter, Lois Barker and husband Dexter of Warrensville; one brother, Bill Stike of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one sister, Ruth Price of Lansing; two granddaughters, Deborah Woods and Diana Miller and husband Randy; one great grandson, Nick Woods; and one step-grandson, D. J. Draughn; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Oak Hill Baptist Church by J. C. Darnell and Rex Eldreth. Burial followed in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends at Badger Funeral Home..
