The “Queens of the Court” volleyball camp returns to Ashe County High School this summer for rising third graders through rising 10th graders.

Volleyball camp begins on July 10 and will last through July 12 with camp beginning at 9 a.m. each day and ending at noon.

The purpose of the camp it to teach and develop the individual volleyball skills that it takes to be a successful player, including serving overhand, passing, setting, hitting, and blocking.

Camp participants will be grouped by grade levels, and prizes will be awarded to competition winners in different age groups.

The cost of this year’s camp is $50, which includes three days of instruction as well as a t-shirt and limited insurance policy. Should you register on the first day of camp, the price increases to $60.

Each camper is required to bring tennis shoes, and knee pads are high recommended. Campers may also want to bring snacks and a water bottle or drink for breaks.

A $25 non-refundable deposit is due by June 1, and the remaining balance will be due on the first day of camp.

Registration forms are available at each school in the county, or you may contact junior varsity head coach Jennifer Wilkinson at Jennifer.wilkinson@ashe.k12.nc.us or varsity volleyball head coach Lindsey Williams at lindsey.williams@ashe.k12.nc.us

Mail registration forms, along with the $25 deposit to:
